Don and his wife Debbie and their four children, moved to Tauranga in 1993 after selling their Waikato sheep and beef farm. They purchased “Bell Lodge Motel & Backpackers” which they operated until October 2001. This is where Don developed his excellent interpersonal skills which he has brought to his real estate career.
With four children Don has been very involved in encouraging them in all their endeavours especially with their education at Bethlehem College where he was Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees for six years.
Since coming to Tauranga Don & Debbie have been very committed to Holy Trinity Church.
Don was approached by Brian Waldergrave, Principal Eves Realty, to join the team at our Cameron Road office in April 2002.
He had immediate success with his first sale being a Te Puna waterfront property for $753,000. Since then he has maintained an excellent sales record and continues to negotiate successful contracts.
Debbie joined Don as his personal assistant in November 2003 bringing fantastic administration and hospitality skills to his business. This enabled Don to double his sales volume and join the Eves Realty “Millionaire Achiever 100 Club” in 2004.
